Nursing colleges were established by decision of the General People’s Committee for Higher Education No. (535) and No. (585) for the year 2007 AD with the reference number (ALT P. L 319) regarding the reorganization of universities and higher institutes in the State of Libya so that nursing colleges in universities are a substitute for health institutes The Graduate School of Nursing is the first college to grant a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the level of Libya. In the year 2019, Resolution No. (640) was issued regarding the restructuring of the University of Misurata. The name of the college was changed to the College of Nursing and Health Sciences after adding modern programs that follow health sciences, and in the year 2021 a decision was issued Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (75) regarding a partial amendment of the previous decision regarding the adoption of the structure of the University of Misrata, changing the name of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences to the College of Health Sciences and adding additional new programs with the aim of providing specialized, scientifically and academically qualified cadres to provide good health and nursing services to all members of society
The faculty of Health Sciences in Misurata is one of the academic institutions belonging to the University of Misurata. This college was established in its first origin in 2007 AD under the name of the College of Nursing, and with the increase in its departments, it was necessary to change its name to improve the organization of the departments of Al-Tarfa and Al-Taldah under the name of Jamea Manea.\\r\\nVision: It is based on making a developmental leap in the health sector that makes medical services reputable on the regional and global scales.\\r\\nMessage: The college seeks to adopt a qualifying formula for its graduates that enables them to play the roles assigned to them in the future, through its stimulating environment for formation and creativity.\\r\\nValues: The college is committed to quality standards, professional ethics, national principles, and the principle of transparency and accountability.
